This is a piece of actual wooden seating that once served as seating in the Boston Garden in Boston, MA. There is yellow paint on the back of this from the chair as seen in every photo of the old Boston Garden. The old Boston Garden opened on November 1928 as the “Boston Madison Square Garden.’The first game at the Garden was when Boston hosted Montreal. The old Boston Garden was the home of the Boston Celtics (NBA) and Boston Bruins (NHL) as well as rock concerts, amateur sports, boxing and professional wrestling matches, circuses, and ice shows. It was also used as an exposition hall for political rallies such as the famous speech by John F. Kennedy in November 1960. The last official event held in the old Garden was fittingly an exhibition game between the Bruins and Montreal Canadiens. The old Boston Garden was demolished in 1998.
